Summer!
Well, the summer is nearly upon us, and with it a host of new commissions! I’ve already made goals for myself for the summer, how much music I’ll finish by when, and so on. On my to-do list are nuit d’Etoile, a new piano work for John Robertson (the first in a large series of piano works comprising Book of Hours), incidental music for a staged version of C. S. Lewis’ The Screwtape Letters directed by Doug Westcott (to be scored for clarinet and piano), several hymn arrangements, and possibly a Piano Trio No. 2. So, daunting as it all seems now, I’ll tackle it in a few weeks, then look forward to the many premieres beginning this September!
